Sabbatical Leaves

October 1 | Sabbatical leave reports are due to the Chairs (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development), Deans, and the Office of Academic Affairs for Spring 2025 sabbatical leaves. |
October 15 | The DPTCs give their recommendations to the Chairs (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development). |
October 31 | The Chairs (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development) give their recommendations to the Deans. |
November 14 | The Deans give their recommendations to the Provost. |
Before December Board of Trustees Meeting** | The Provost gives recommendations to the President and application materials to the appropriate committee of the Board of Trustees. |
December** | The Board of Trustees votes on applications. |
February 17, 2026 | Sabbatical leave reports are due to the Chairs (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development), Deans and Office of Academic Affairs for Fall 2025 sabbatical leaves. |

November 14 | Pre-tenure leave applications due to Chairs (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development). |
December 16 | Chairs' (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development’s) recommendations to Deans. |
February 2, 2026 | Deans' recommendations to the Provost. |
February 17 | Pre-tenure leave reports due to Chair (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development), Dean, and Office of Academic Affairs for Fall 2025 Pre-tenure leaves. |
March 16 | The Provost forwards a written recommendation to the faculty member, the Chair (or Marlboro Institute Director of Faculty Development) and the Dean. |
