Our project approach includes seven structured milestones, designed to ensure alignment with institutional priorities, efficient execution, and meaningful outcomes. Project prioritization is informed by Emerson’s senior leadership and guided by ASA’s mission to drive sustainable, strategic improvement.
- Project Identification and Request: Project needs are surfaced through leadership. High-level context, goals, and stakeholders are noted.
- Preliminary Assessment and Charter Development: ASA evaluates feasibility and scope. A draft project summary is created outlining objectives, stakeholders, timelines, expectations and resource needs.
- Project Pending: The project has completed initial leadership review and is paused while awaiting formal approval or prioritization. No active work has begun as decision-makers assess readiness, alignment, and available capacity before moving the project into initiation.
- Leadership Review: The summary is reviewed with senior leaders to confirm strategic alignment and support.
- Project Initiation: Approved projects are launched with a designated lead, team, and initial resources.
- Planning and Milestone Development: Tasks, milestones, and timelines are defined and entered into the project management platform for tracking and coordination.
- Project Execution and Monitoring: The project is implemented with regular updates, collaboration, coordination and issue resolution to maintain progress and alignment.
- Project Close and Reflection: Deliverables are finalized. ASA conducts a review, captures lessons learned, obtains feedback for reporting purposes, and closes the project.
