Statement on Offensive Content in Archival and Special Collections
The Emerson College Archives & Special Collections recognizes that some of its digital and physical collections contain potentially offensive content that is not condoned by the College. The Archives & Special Collections is committed to upholding the principle of equal and free access to historical information and presents these collections in their original and unaltered forms for the purpose of research, study, and personal reading. Providing online and physical access to these historical documents does not endorse any attitudes, prejudices, or behaviors depicted in them. The Archives & Special Collections is fully committed to the College's efforts to achieve inclusive excellence as well as the belief that society must recognize its past offenses in order to improve itself and ensure they do not happen again.
