Spring 2025 Registration

Registration Dates

• Friday, October 18: Spring 2025 Course listings released to the web
• Monday, October 21 through Friday, November 1: Undergraduate Advising for spring registration begins
• October 31 through November 12: Spring 2025 registration opens (see undergraduate and graduate times below)
• Wednesday, November 13: Registration closed for 24 hours, 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET
• Thursday, November 14: Registration re-opens until the start of the semester. See the Academic Calendar for add/drop deadlines. Eligible undergraduates may overload.
• Tuesday, December 17: Last day to join a Spring 2025 waitlist
• Wednesday, January 22: Spring waitlisting closed; all remaining students removed from waitlists at 9:00 a.m. ET

After the initial registration week (October 31–November 12) registration will be closed for 24 hours on Wednesday, November 13 and reopen Thursday, November 14, at 12:00 a.m. ET. When registration reopens, undergraduate students eligible to overload will be able to do so, and some major restrictions for undergraduate classes may be lifted. Check course listings for any lifted restrictions.

All Emerson employees and spouses of employees enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student must first submit a Tuition Remission Form to Human Resources to participate in spring registration. Employees who have submitted tuition remission paperwork for the Spring 2025 semester will be able at their normal registration time.

Undergraduate Students

"Credits completed" does not include courses for which you are currently registered. These times apply to continuing students only. New and Transfer students starting in Spring 2025 are registered administratively and will be able to edit their registration once the spring semester begins.

Graduate Students

Communication Sciences & Disorders

"Credits completed" does not include courses for which you are currently registered. These times apply to continuing students only. New Speech@Emerson students register November 12 at 1:00 p.m. ET--see Speech@Emerson 2024-2025 Academic Calendar. All other new graduate students starting in Spring 2025 will self-register beginning the first week of December.

Writing, Literature & Publishing

"Credits completed" does not include courses for which you are currently registered. These times apply to continuing students only. New students starting in Spring 2025 will self-register beginning the first week of December.

Visual & Media Arts
