AP Pettinelli is a current doctoral candidate at the University of Chicago in the Department of Cinema and Media Studies. His research and dissertation investigate Italian autonomist theories of the end of work while focusing on contemporary media and aesthetic practices that create spaces–and times–of refusal within our algorithmic societies of control. This research extends through issues of the moving image and technics today after the philosophical work of Deleuze and Guattari, Simondon, and Lyotard. He holds an A.B. in Visual & Environmental Studies from Harvard College.
