Christine is an entertainment journalist with more than 15 years' experience producing distinctive, attention-grabbing content for national publications, including Entertainment Weekly, Premiere, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Elle, Glamour, Bazaar, Red Book, Cosmopolitan, and Los Angeles Magazine.

As a senior writer at Entertainment Weekly from 2004 to 2010, Christine primarily covered the film business in hundreds of features, reviews, blog posts, and news articles. Prior to Entertainment Weekly, she was the West Coast Bureau Chief of Premiere magazine, where she wrote and edited features, and oversaw the magazine's Oscar coverage and annual "100 Most Powerful People in Hollywood" list.

For her most memorable Premiere cover stories, Spines followed Brad Pitt to Argentina, Matt Damon to Venice, Heath Ledger to Prague, Leonardo DiCaprio on a tour of the mean streets of his childhood, and Tim Burton into the dark recesses of his imagination. Early on, Spines spearheaded Premiere's coverage of the burgeoning independent film movement with the launch of her monthly column of reviews and interviews, "Indie Jones."
