About the Graduate Business of Creative Enterprises Program
Emerson College’s online Business of Creative Enterprises MA program is designed for artists looking to enter the business side of their creative industry. Whether you’re a trained musician, designer, actor, or writer, you’ll learn the fundamental business skills needed to transition your artistic background into a business career in your creative field of choice.
Housed in the School of Communication, the program’s cross-departmental faculty teach leadership techniques and skills for building a positive work culture rooted in empathy and equity. Whether you are striving to start your own business or earn a promotion at your current employer, you will gain invaluable experience in strategic planning, finance, marketing, and more.

Hear from the instructor of Legal Foundations of Creative Industries, Franklin Graves, as you walk through content from the actual course. You will also get a behind the scenes look at how the asynchronous courses are structured with a live view of the online Canvas learning system. Admissions staff will also be available to answer any questions you may have about the program or application process.
Franklin is an affiliate faculty member in the program and is the Founder & Editor of Creator Economy Law, a website and newsletter that educates creator economy professionals on the intersection of law and policy with the world of creators, brands, and platforms.
