Emerson College’s global partnership with Franklin University Switzerland in Lugano, Switzerland, is grounded in a mutual understanding and appreciation for both the liberal arts and a global experience. Franklin is a highly selective four-year American liberal arts university, well-known for its exceptional immersive experiential learning program.

This academic partnership makes possible two unique undergraduate degree programs: one in International and Political Communication and the other in Business of Creative Enterprises. In both programs, students will study for two years in Lugano and two years in Boston.

Undergraduate Application and Scholarship Information

Students interested in applying to either the Global BA in International and Political Communication or the Global BA in Business of Creative Enterprises programs will need to apply through Franklin University Switzerland.

Students who complete their associate’s degree at Franklin University Switzerland in either the International & Political Communication program or the Business of Creative Enterprises program with a 3.0 GPA will be eligible to receive a scholarship from Emerson College of $15,000 for each of their two years at Emerson.

Franklin students completing their transfer procses to Emerson must begin their studies at the Boston campus. They are not eligible to do their first semester of studies at any off-campus program (e.g., DC Program, Emerson LA) or to participate in the College's Honors Program.
