Overview

Official Emerson caps and gowns (and hoods for master’s candidates) are required for students participating in a graduation ceremony.

Coming soon: Caps and gowns may be purchased online for home delivery or pre-ordered online for pickup and purchase at the Emerson Emporium.

  • Home delivery orders must be placed by April 12, 2026.
  • Pre-orders for in-person pickup and purchase must be placed by March 8, 2026. While there will be some caps and gowns available for walk-in clients, we highly recommend graduates pre-order to ensure the correct size.

Graduating students may only wear sashes, stoles, cords, or pins that are awarded directly by the College and per academic protocol sashes, stoles, cords, and pins are not a part of master’s degree regalia.

However, there is a robust cap decorating tradition at Emerson, and we look forward to seeing yours!
