Salary: Continues as normal

Retirement: Continues as normal

Long-Term Disability Insurance: Continues as normal

Transport/Parking: No, unless there is a need to be on campus

Counts as Full-time Service: No for sabbatical/pre-tenure; with Provost approval for term/presidential

Structured Study Leaves

Salary: College discretion to supplement

Retirement: Percentage of actual pay from College

Medical: Depends on conditions of structured study

Dental: Depends on conditions of structured study

Tuition: Depends on conditions of structured study

Life Insurance: Emerson paid life insurance ends the last day of the month after the leave begins

Long-Term Disability Insurance: Emerson paid LTD coverage ends the last day of the month after the leave begins

Transport/Parking: Benefits end the last day of the month in which the leave begins

Counts as Full-time Service: With Provost approval

Professional Leaves

Salary: No

Retirement: No

Medical: Medical coverage can be continued under COBRA

Dental: Dental coverage can be continued under COBRA

Tuition: No

Life Insurance: Emerson paid life insurance ends the last day of the month after the leave begins

Long-Term Disability Insurance: Emerson paid LTD coverage ends the last day of the month after the leave begins

Transport/Parking: Benefits end the last day of the month in which the leave begins

Counts as Full-time Service: No

Administrative Leaves

Salary: As defined in letter

Retirement: Yes (staff/faculty per letter)

Medical: Yes (staff/faculty per letter)
