Course Evaluation Resources

Grade Distributions

Grade distribution results require an invitation and login. All documents are in PDF format. Contact IR [at] emerson.edu (IR[at]emerson[dot]edu) to request an invitation.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)

Each year, the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) produces a report for each institution that submits data to the system. This report provides comparison with a peer group over a range of factors.

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) survey collects information about first-year and senior students' participation in programs and activities that Emerson provides for their learning and personal development. The results provide an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college.

Word Clouds

A word cloud is another way to visually represent text data. The more frequent a word is used in the text, the bigger and bolder that word appears in the word cloud.

To create a word cloud for your report, copy and paste the text (i.e. survey comments, meeting notes, etc.) through a word cloud tool. Some commonly-used tools include:
