Emerson College offers two secure bike parking areas for members of its community: the Boylston Place Bike Room at 19 Boylston Place and the Ansin Building Bike Parking Facility at 180 Tremont Street.

Bike Room Locations 

  • The Boylston Place Bike Room provides 68 daily bike parking spots in an indoor, secure space at 19 Boylston Place.
  • The Ansin Building Bike Parking Facility at 180 Tremont Street (first floor, rear) provides 11 spaces bike rack parking on a space-available basis.

Additional Notes 

  • Yearly Registration is required for all students at the start of each fall semester. Faculty and staff need only register once. Tap access and a bike registration sticker will be provided once registered.
  • For residential students: The bike rooms are not available for storage between the fall and spring semesters. Residential students should plan to bring bicycles home or store them for the summer. Students living on campus for the summer may renew their bike registration to use the bike room during the summer.
  • There are designated bike spots painted green for daily use, not overnight storage. Any bike found after midnight in these spaces will be removed. Please use the hanging wall spots for overnight storage.
  • Only non-motorized, pedal-powered bikes are allowed in the Bicycle Room. In compliance with Community Standards, self-propelled scooters, electric bikes, and motorized vehicles are prohibited in enclosed bike rooms or anywhere on campus. The City of Boston maintains a map of bike racks that can be used for outdoor parking of these vehicles. 
  • Bike spots are on a first come, first served basis.
  • Please do not lock your bike over anyone else’s.
  • Emerson College is not responsible for any lost/stolen damages please use the bike room at your own risk
