Sabbatical Leaves

October 1Sabbatical leave reports are due to the Chairs (or Director of Faculty Development), Deans, and the Office of Academic Affairs for Spring 2026 sabbatical leaves.
October 15The DPTCs give their recommendations to the Chairs (or Director of Faculty Development).
November 2The Chairs (or Director of Faculty Development) give their recommendations to the Deans.
November 16The Deans give their recommendations to the Provost.
Before December Board of Trustees Meeting**The Provost gives recommendations to the President and application materials to the appropriate committee of the Board of Trustees.
December**The Board of Trustees votes on applications.
February 16, 2027Sabbatical leave reports are due to the Chairs (or Director of Faculty Development), Deans and Office of Academic Affairs for Fall 2026 sabbatical leaves.

Pre-Tenure Leaves

May 1, 2026By this date, the faculty member notifies the Department Chair (or Director of Faculty Development) and the Dean of intent to apply in the coming Fall 2026 semester for a Pre-Tenure Leave in 2027–2028.

November 16Pre-tenure leave applications due to Chairs (or Director of Faculty Development).
December 16Chairs' (or Director of Faculty Development’s) recommendations to Deans.
February 2, 2027Deans' recommendations to the Provost.
February 16Pre-tenure leave reports due to Chair (or Director of Faculty Development), Dean, and Office of Academic Affairs for Fall 2026 Pre-tenure leaves.
March 16The Provost forwards a written recommendation to the faculty member, the Chair (or Director of Faculty Development) and the Dean.
