About the Strategic Marketing Program
Emerson College's Master of Arts in Strategic Marketing offered through the Department of Communication, is designed to help you build expertise in digital marketing, data-driven decision-making, and brand strategy. You can customize your education by taking electives such as Digital Communication Strategies & Implementation; Analytics for Strategic Marketing; Culture, Ethics, and Responsibility in Marketing; or taking a cutting edge special topics course, and/or getting credit for an internship, ensuring your courses align with your professional goals. With a flexible curriculum, this program accommodates both full-time and part-time students to fit your schedule and your career aspirations, with paths to completion possible in as little as one year with low residency or up to two-years full-time.
Curriculum Requirements for the Strategic Marketing MA Program
Emerson College offers multiple paths to completion for this curriculum:
Standard Format (32 credits): This path allows you to complete the program full-time in 16months. It comprises 5 core courses in strategic marketing communication (20 credits) or digital marketing (20 credits), in addition to 2 elective courses in your preferred area of focus (8 credits).. Complete the program with a “live client” professional marketing experience (4 credit Capstone).

Accelerated Format (32 credits): This path allows you to complete the program in as little as 12 months, full-time with low residency. It comprises 5 core courses in strategic marketing communication (20 credits) or digital marketing (20 credits), in addition to 2 elective courses in your preferred area of focus (8 credits). Complete the program with a “live client” professional marketing experience (4 credit Capstone). The accelerated format allows students to complete their core courses primarily in-person over 9 months (two semesters) then finish their remaining credits entirely online before graduating (one semester).
