The number of guest tickets allocated is determined by the size of the graduating class and the capacity of the venue. In 2025 we will be able to offer the following guest tickets to the graduating class:

School of the Arts Graduate Hooding Ceremony

Master’s degree candidates: 4 guest tickets (Must be ordered by April 13th)

School of the Arts Graduate Hooding Ceremony registration and ticketing will open on March 17, 2025. You must Register to Participate in the ceremony to be eligible to order tickets. Approximately fifteen minutes after you have registered, you may order and download your guest tickets by clicking the link in your confirmation email or going to emersongradtickets.universitytickets.com. Your order will be complete when you have a pdf of your ticket. Ordered tickets may be accessed at any time by selecting My Orders at the top of the ticketing site.

Waitlist

Students may request one (1) extra ticket by joining a waitlist when they place their initial ticket order. Waitlist tickets are sourced from donated or unclaimed tickets and are not guaranteed. If there are extra tickets, requests will be fulfilled in the order they were received, starting on April 18, 2025. Recipients will be notified by email and have 72 hours to claim their waitlist ticket before it expires and is offered to the next person on the list.

Sharing Tickets Encouraged

If you would like more tickets, students are encouraged to ask other candidates participating in their ceremony if they will have tickets they will not be using. Seating is general admission, so guests will still be able to sit together. All seats have been allocated. Please help us make sure there are no empty seats by sharing or donating your unwanted tickets!

Donated Tickets

Students may donate unused tickets on the ticketing site. When you select the ceremony you wish to donate tickets to, all of your unclaimed tickets for that ceremony will be donated and cannot be retrieved online. You must order the tickets you will be using before you donate. If you no longer need your already ordered tickets, please give them to your peers–we don’t want empty seats! it doesn’t matter that your name is on the tickets.

Children

Each ticket represents a seat and anyone occupying a seat must have a ticket. Children under 1 year old may enter without a ticket provided they sit on a ticket-holder's lap. Also, please be aware that strollers will not be allowed into the seating area and must be stored in the lobby.

General Information

  • The student who is participating in the ceremony does not need a ticket.
  • Ceremony tickets are free of charge and any attempt to sell tickets should be reported to Emerson.
  • A live stream of each ceremony will be available at emerson.edu/live for those who are unable to attend.
  • Please be sure to give your guests their tickets before the day of the ceremony, and arrange to meet them at a location outside of the building after the ceremony!

After April 13, 2025 all unordered tickets will be released to the waitlist. If you do not have a pdf of your ticket, your ticket order is not complete.

Ordered tickets may be found on the My Orders link located at the top of the ticket site.
