We only recommend these services when the Emerson Wellness Center is not available to students. Information listed below has been verified but is subject to change. Call-ahead verification of pricing and/or insurance acceptance is strongly recommended.

Students with Blue Cross Blue Shield student health insurance do not need a referral for these services.

Physical Exams: Call to determine cost, as it depends on the type of insurance you have.

There are multiple locations for Fenway Health. Call its office or use its website to verify location. There is a $45 nursing fee for each visit, regardless of the number of vaccines received. The Wednesday Hepatitis B clinic, however, is free and requires no nursing fee.

Did you know that most insurance companies provide a phone number to receive non-emergency health advice?

Experienced professionals are available 24/7 to offer you expert answers to your medical questions. Simply explain the situation, detail your symptoms, and their nurses will advise you whether you should see a healthcare provider, go to the emergency room, or care for yourself at home/school. If you don’t see your insurer listed below, it is likely that it offers this service as well. To find out, just check online or call the member service number on your health insurance ID card.

The following are options for mental health treatment including traditional therapy, help getting connected with a therapist, and other types of support:

  • EmWell: access to brief ongoing counseling, 24/7 support line, psychoeducational articles and information, and free subscriptions to apps like HeadSpace and SilverCloud for Emerson students.
  • ThrivingCampus: search for providers by location, insurance, demographics, treatment focus, and more; personalized network of providers unique to Emerson College. 
  • HelloAlma: a national platform that allows you to search for and connect with therapists for virtual or in-person visits. Search by location, insurance, demographics, and treatment focus.
