The Emerson Wellness Center and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health require students under age 30 enrolled in an on-campus full-time academic program (Undergraduate 12 or more credits; Graduate 6 or more credits), and all international students to submit immunization records to Emerson College prior to enrollment.
Immunization requirements are listed on your Immunization Verification Form and must be submitted through the Student Health Portal.
All required immunizations are available at Health Services for eligible Undergraduate and Graduate Students. Immunizations are fully covered for those enrolled in Emerson’s Student Health Insurance Plans. Students with other health insurances will be charged a fee. Please contact Health Services for more information regarding fees and reimbursement at 617-824-8666.
Students must demonstrate compliance with all health requirements prior to arriving on campus. Students may not be permitted to move into residence halls, change class registration, or begin classes.
Titers and Proof of Immunity
If you are unable to provide verification of immunization and dates, you may submit a laboratory report of immunity (titer) from a blood test. Contact your health care provider to arrange for blood testing or contact our health services department as soon as you arrive on campus.
Medical and Religious Immunization Exemptions
If you have a medical condition that prevents immunization or if immunization sincerely contradicts your religious belief please complete the Exemption Form. Please upload the completed form in the Student Health Portal.
Meningococcal Immunization
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires all undergraduates to either receive a recent meningococcal vaccine OR complete a Meningococcal waiver form upon entrance to the College. See detailed information about Meningococcal and College Students.
