Getting Started Mid-September (fall) or Mid-January (spring) Confirm your eligibility: 3.0+ GPA and less than 48 credits earned Confirm that no existing combination of major(s) and/or minor(s) meets your educational goals Schedule required planning appointment with academic advisor at the Academic Advising Center (AAC), 180 Tremont, 4th Floor Develop Your IDIP Late September (fall) or Late January (spring) Review IDIP application: emerson.edu/idipapp Determine your Proposed Program Title (hard limit of 50 characters or fewer) Write Brief Description of your academic focus (100 words) Write Proposal Narrative (2–3 double-spaced pages) Create list of courses that will comprise your Program of Study (see application for requirements) Review final course list with academic advisor at the AAC Obtain Approvals Early October (fall) or Early February (spring) Schedule appointments with relevant Department Chairs to discuss proposal Incorporate feedback from Chairs into IDIP application If Chairs have waived prerequisites, confirm Chair’s initials next to waiver in course list Obtain all required signatures Submit Application Deadlines: October 10 (fall) or February 15 (spring) Meet with academic advisor for final review and signature at the AAC Submit all materials by deadline Leave this field blank
