Emerson Alert
Emerson utilizes a state-of-the-art Emergency Notification System (ENS) called Rave to send Emerson Alert messages to students, faculty, and staff in the event of an emergency or school closure. When activated, this program simultaneously sends messages to individuals by phone (both landline and cell), text (SMS), and email. The Rave system has the capability to send emergency notifications to Emerson campuses in Boston, Los Angeles, and the Netherlands. The College strongly encourages all students, faculty, and staff to provide up-to-date contact information in Rave by managing their account at emerson.edu/emersonalert.
In the event of a major emergency in the vicinity of an Emerson campus location (Boston, Los Angeles, or Kasteel Well), emergency notices will be posted and updated as soon as possible on the Emerson College homepage, the Police Department site, and the Parents Facebook page.
Students and their families should devise a personal communication plan for emergencies (e.g., students should plan to call and/or email family members directly). Students should have a secondary contact person in the event that their primary contact is unreachable.
If you need assistance with updating your contact information to receive Emerson Alert messages via the Rave system, please contact the IT Help Desk at 617-824-8080.
