This style guide was produced by Emerson College’s Office of Communications and Marketing in collaboration with the Division of Community, Culture, and Belonging; Student Accessibility Services; and the Healing and Advocacy Center.
The Office of Marketing uses the 18th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style as its house style and uses the 12th edition of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary for spelling. The Emerson College Editorial Style Guide is an abbreviated reference guide for common editorial quandaries. It also includes some Emerson exceptions to Chicago style.
