Student Organizations

At Emerson College, we understand that college is a time of exploration, reflection, and connection, and that religion and spirituality are an important part of all of those processes. Our campus offers a variety of student organizations that support students in maintaining and strengthening their connection to their faith while balancing academic and personal life.

In these organizations, students have the opportunity to engage with their respective faiths in meaningful ways. These organizations provide a space for regular worship, prayer, reflection, and discussion, helping students cultivate their spiritual lives amidst the demands of college. Whether through weekly meetings, special events, or study groups, each organization offers a supportive environment where students can nurture their faith and develop a deeper understanding of their spiritual journey.

These organizations include:

  • Emerson Christian Fellowship
  • Muslim Student Association
  • Emerson College Hillel (Jewish Life)
  • Emerson Mystics (Alternative Spirituality)
  • Sathi (Hindu/ South Asian)

Spiritual Counseling

Emerson’s CSL chaplains and advisors are available to Emerson community members for one on one spiritual counseling. Sessions are tailored to the interests and needs of the student, staff, or faculty member- from exploring faith to learning new spiritual practices to coping with stress or loss. Across topics, the role of CSL staff is exploratory and supportiveĀ rather than directive or prescriptive. Conversations are kept confidential, with the exception of imminent threat to self or others in which case limited appropriate resources will be contacted.
