Creative Writers Workshop 2020
Being Human: Together Afar is Emerson’s Pre-College literary magazine for the Creative Writing Program with a twist: no one saw each other in person. The only thing that connected us—besides Zoom—was the power of writing. From creative nonfiction to comedy writing to slam poetry to fiction to graphic novels to scripts, there is something for you.
In Memory Of
I wanted to thank you for a wonderful summer session, I really enjoyed the program very much. Our professors were wonderful, and very quick to help any student in need. I learned many new techniques that I will carry with me in the future, and I am excited to pursue my passion of film.

The Emerson College Summer Journalism Institute is a yearly program offering rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors an opportunity to explore journalistic techniques and approaches to produce journalism in a variety of formats.

The Paramount Palette is a literary magazine by and for the students in Emerson pre-college programs. Truly a diverse and invigorating collection of the bright works of Emerson’s talented students. Short stories, poems, scripts, and skits—whatever bloats your moat. There is something for everyone in our lit mag.
My son has enjoyed this program so much. You guys did a great job taking it virtual and providing such a meaningful experience for these kids during such a difficult time for all. We feel so fortunate.
The Cerulean

Founded by Emerson pre-college students in 2018, Cerulean is a portfolio containing all the work from the summer intensives. From art of many kinds, fiction and nonfiction stories, poetry, theatre performance, and more, Cerulean is the best source for all your interests.
I just wanted to thank you for such a fantastic program. My son had the best summer ever. It has been a long time since I’ve seen him this happy. He worked hard, learned a massive amount, made friends, and achieve something to be proud of.

The diverse and interesting varieties of interpretations of the script in all its technical aspects shared today reflected the creative freedom and safe space you created for students. Thrilling, and of course, just what we want for developing creative minds. That being said, our daughter 's interest in this field has been affirmed by her participation in this program, and by your mentorship. We are so grateful.
