Housing

Exchange students are generally able to be housed on campus in both Boston and Los Angeles. Exchange students interested in on-campus housing should submit a non-guarantee housing application following their admission to Emerson College. Students can learn more about housing by reviewing the housing information for both the Boston and Los Angeles campuses online.

In Boston, exchange students may also secure their own, off-campus housing if preferred. Exchange students are encouraged to review Emerson’s Off-campus Housing policy for international students. Please note: Rental scams are possible. Students should never send money via wire transfer to rental agents.

Mandatory Health Insurance and Immunizations

Per Massachusetts state law, exchange students must carry U.S.-based health insurance. Insurance from your home country is not acceptable. Therefore, all exchange students will automatically be registered and billed for the Emerson Student Health Insurance Plan. Up-to-date costs for the Emerson Student Health Insurance Plan can be found on the University Health Plans website
