Emerson is an urban college. We draw inspiration and ideas from the energy of our city, and vice versa. We also know city living can feel overwhelming at times. Our residence halls are a haven for rest and camaraderie, as well as a base of operations for your busy schedule. You will have the best of both worlds: the amenities of home and access to the excitement of downtown Boston.
Our residences provide students with the basics of modern life—Wi-Fi and laundry facilities, common rooms, and dining. You’ll have easy access to the gym, library, classrooms, and state-of-the-art studio spaces.
At the heart of residential life at Emerson College are responsible, enthusiastic, and caring resident assistants (RAs). RAs are returning students who act as leaders, communicating rules designed for everyone’s convenience and to protect individual rights. The RAs counsel students who have concerns and do their best to make daily life better for all our residents. Learn more about job opportunities on the Housing and Residential Education website.
It is often said that the most memorable moments of college life occur in the residence halls. In Emerson’s living spaces, you’ll shape meaningful friendships and find a supportive community.
The Office of Off-Campus Student Services assists upperclass students and graduate students with finding off-campus apartments and roommates, in addition to offering programming on personal budgeting and health and safety. The office is here to help off-campus students integrate into Emerson’s vibrant Boston campus.
