Fall 2026 Graduate Orientation Information
General Graduate Orientation
All incoming on-campus students (Boston-based, Online, and Low-Res Students) are required to attend an online Orientation Program on August 27, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. in the Richard J. Orchard Theatre, Paramount Center, 555 Washington Street, Boston.
Incoming online and low-res students are required to attend the Orientation Program on August 28, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. EST, via Zoom. Please register for orientation using this Zoom link: RSVP Zoom registration.*
There will be an in-person reception held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. immediately following the in-person Orientation, sponsored by the GSA, where students will be able to make connections with each other as well as many helpful offices and Grad Student Orgs. (Online students, fear not! We have lots of ways to connect virtually!)
International Graduate Student Orientation
International students are expected to attend an ELL Diagnostic on September 1, 2026, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. EST and an in-person international student orientation from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. EST in Boston, in addition to the General Orientation.
Students will receive a separate communication from their Graduate Program Directors regarding individual Program Meetings.
On-campus and returning students may opt-in to attend the Online and Low-Res Orientation via the RSVP form to receive the link: RSVP Zoom registration
ELL Diagnostic
This session is by invitation only.
Office of Equal Opportunity and Healing & Advocacy Training (Mandatory)
All incoming students, regardless of program or modality, are required to attend a session with the Office of Equal Opportunity and the Healing and Advocacy Collective. Students will receive an email to RSVP for a specific date, time, and location (sessions will be available online and in person).
*You must log into your Zoom account to create your Emerson Zoom account in order to RSVP.
FAQs
- Student IDs will not be activated if students have not uploaded the appropriate medical documentation.
- Students must upload their ID Photo via the GET app prior to picking their ID up at the ID office.
- ALWAYS check your emerson.edu email address, as that is where all official communications will be sent.
- When logging into Zoom, always use your emerson.edu email address.
