Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs oversees all academic-related activities. Emerson College Police Department (ECPD)

The Emerson College Police Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. ECPD officers are sworn in as both Massachusetts Special State Police Officers and Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs. These police powers allow Emerson police officers full police authority on property used, owned, or occupied by Emerson College. These police powers also expand officers' jurisdiction to maintain the security of College property and advance the safety and well-being of members of the Emerson College community. Education Abroad & Domestic Programs is committed to providing Emerson students with opportunities to explore their academic goals and expand their cultural knowledge in international settings and global environments. Fitness Center

At the Emerson College Fitness Center, we have plenty of cardiovascular equipment including stair steppers, treadmills, elliptical machines, bicycles, and rowers; strength training equipment and a variety of free weights; and an open exercise area for warm-ups, cool-downs, stretching, or yoga. Amenities also include showers with private dressing areas in the locker room, and our experienced fitness staff are on-hand to provide guidance and answers to your questions. Just be sure to fill out a membership enrollment form before your first visit!

Physical Location: The Fitness Center is just a short walk from campus at 52 Summer Street/Arch Street. The entrance door, labeled Emerson College, is on Arch Street, next to UDG restaurant. Please have your Emerson ID with you to scan in, and be sure to bring it upstairs with you when you go to the group fitness areas.

At Emerson, you have your pick of several on-campus dining options with menus designed to suit varied tastes and dietary preferences. Grab a bite to eat with friends, pick up a snack before class, or sit down to enjoy a proper dinner. If you’re in a rush, you can even take your meals to go and fuel your study sessions wherever they may be.

As a student on our Boston campus, you can choose among the Dining Center and Center Stage, the Max, Paramount Cafe, or Backstage Cafe. Residential students have a meal plan that makes eating convenient and affordable. Our chefs and staff prepare excellent food from scratch with whole ingredients, which are often locally sourced. Many café options are customizable to meet your personal dietary goals.

Intercultural Student Affairs (ICSA)

Intercultural Student Affairs at Emerson centers humanity, compassion, and education at the forefront of everything we do. Lacerte Family Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC)

The Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC)’s mission is to develop confident and independent writers and learners by providing resources for intellectual growth and academic support.

Max Mutchnick Campus Center

The Max Mutchnick Campus Center occupies approximately 21,700 square-feet across three floors of the 14-story, mixed-use building. It houses The Beard Room, the Quiet Lounge, and the Max Cafe, as well as other amenities. The 185,000-square-foot Piano Row building also includes a gymnasium on the lower levels and a residence hall for some 560 students on the upper levels. Department offices for the Healing and Advocacy Collective are located on the second level of the Campus Center, and offices for Athletics are located on Lower Level 2.

Media Technologies and Production (MTP)

At Emerson, our students are always creating: filming movies, hosting their own shows, editing video, mixing sound, and more; Media Technologies and Production (MTP) is here to help make that happen.

We ensure that students have access to the highest-quality equipment and technology so they are primed for success in their fields after graduation. Office of The Arts

An Office of the Arts at a college that is dedicated to “bringing innovation to communication and the arts.” The Office of the Arts exists to serve Emerson College students, faculty and staff, the Greater Boston community, and the field of performance practice through:

Social Justice Collaborative

The Social Justice Collaborative works with and supports individuals and communities through personal and systems advocacy, community-centered projects, and radical care. Student Performance Center

The Student Performance Center located on the Lower Level of the Little Building at 80 Boylston Street, is the largest student event and production facility on campus.
